The management of Wusum Stars Football Club is delighted to inform the general public, especially our esteemed supporters and well-wishers, that the club has successfully secured the signatures of four promising players to strengthen the current squad ahead of the new season.

The new signings come from two Makeni-based teams Backay FC and Masongbo FC both known for producing talented young footballers. Among the new additions is Sembu Koroma, a skillful forward from Backay FC. Koroma brings a wealth of experience to Wusum Stars, having previously played for several clubs within and outside Makeni. His pace, vision, and goal-scoring ability are expected to add depth and creativity to the club’s attacking lineup.

The remaining three players join from Masongbo FC, comprising two midfielders and one goalkeeper. The midfield duo have been recruited to reinforce the club’s engine room, bringing energy, control, and creativity to support both the defense and attack. The new goalkeeper arrives at a crucial time, following the departure of Abu Bakarr Kamara, who recently completed a two-year loan spell with Wusum Stars. His addition is expected to create healthy competition among the club’s shot-stoppers and improve overall defensive stability.

According to club officials, Sembu Koroma has been signed on a two-season loan deal with an option for extension, should he prove himself during his stay. Meanwhile, the three players from Masongbo FC have signed permanent contracts, signaling the club’s long-term commitment to nurturing young and talented players from the region.

During the official contract signing ceremony, the four players were interviewed by the Wusum Stars Media Department. They all expressed joy and gratitude for the opportunity to join one of the most respected football clubs in the northern region. “Playing for Wusum Stars is a dream come true,” they said collectively. The players promised to give their best efforts on and off the pitch and called on fans, supporters, and fellow teammates to rally behind them as they adapt to their new environment.

The management assures fans that more positive developments are underway as the club continues to build a competitive squad capable of making a strong impact in the upcoming football season.
