Abdulai Sillah, a 22-year-old masoner, appeared once again before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon of Pademba Road Court No. 3 in Freetown, facing charges of store breaking and larceny. The charges are brought under Section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at SOS Drive, Malama Lumley, in the Western Area of Freetown, the defendant allegedly broke into the store of Naberay Bandu Bangura with the intent to steal. The stolen items included one roll of 4mm twin cable, two rolls of 2.4mm ton cable, and six rolls of 1.5mm single A red and black cable, with a total value of 12,260 Leones. The items were allegedly in the custody of Augustine Yokie, on behalf of Naberay Bandu Bangura.
When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was entered.
The prosecutor, Detective Police Constable 15098 Mohamed Abdulai Sesay, requested a short adjournment in order to present his next witness.
Magistrate Kallon denied bail and remanded the defendant to the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to October 7, 2025.
