Twenty-two-year-old Akim Janneh made his first appearance before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon of Pademba Road Court No. 3 in Freetown, facing a charge of larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Thursday, 18th September 2025, at Yada Williams and Associates, located at 7 Walpole Street in the Western Area of Freetown, Janneh allegedly stole one black Best Bluetooth player, valued at three hundred Leones (Le 300), the property of Bai Tuky.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutor Corporal 12090 Zainab Bangura requested a short adjournment to present the next prosecution witness.
Magistrate Kallon denied bail and remanded the defendant to the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 30th September 2025.
