As Sierra Leone joins the global community in commemorating International Peace Day, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has called on citizens to cherish and safeguard the nation’s hard-won peace, achieved after years of civil conflict.
Dr. Jalloh emphasized that maintaining peace requires the government to deliver on its promise of a better future for all Sierra Leoneans—one built on economic transformation, democracy, and the rule of law.
In his address, the Vice President underscored the significance of national unity and inclusive governance in ensuring long-term peace and stability.
“Let us be bound by the principle of one country and one destiny for the future of our beloved nation,” he urged, encouraging citizens to unite and work toward a shared goal.

The government has prioritized these areas, resulting in notable achievements such as expanded access to education, improved health services, and major infrastructure developments.
