A 25-year-old unemployed man, Moses Kamara, has made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a single count of larceny in a dwelling house, contrary to Section 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at No. 32 Main Road, Congo Town, in the Western Area, the accused allegedly entered the dwelling house of Idrissa Emmanuel Kamara and stole one ladder, one carton of tiles, and other assorted items, all valued at Le 2,780 property of Idrissa Emmanuel Kamara.

When the charge was read and explained in court, no plea was taken from the accused.

The prosecutor, Detective Police Constable 18235 K.K. Thoronka, requested a short adjournment to enable him to lead his first witness in the matter.

Due to the serious nature of the offence, Magistrate Fornah refused bail and remanded the accused in custody.

The matter was adjourned to September 24, 2025, for further hearing.
