A new recruitment agency, Abubakarr and Fatmata Taylor Bangs Recruitment Company, was officially launched in Freetown on Friday, September 12, 2025. The company’s launch is seen as a significant step toward tackling unemployment and creating international job opportunities for Sierra Leoneans.

Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Abubakarr Bangura, the company aims to provide reliable staffing solutions by connecting both skilled and unskilled workers with local and international employers. Partnerships have already been established with firms in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel, with contracts to supply workers for major projects.

Speaking at the launch event, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abubakarr Bangura explained that his years of experience in the UAE inspired him to establish a platform that would benefit Sierra Leonean youth.

“Our young people have the skills, but they often lack the opportunities. With this company, we are creating a bridge between talent and employment both at home and abroad,” he said.

Manager Tamba Swaray outlined the agency’s services, which include temporary, contract, and permanent staffing. He emphasized the company’s commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, and fostering long-term partnerships.

The company is passionate about “providing flexible and reliable staffing solutions that meet the diverse needs of clients.” Its team of experts brings “extensive experience and a deep understanding of various industries, allowing us to deliver top-quality staffing services that drive success,” the company said in a statement.

Already, Abubakarr & Fatmata Taylor Bangs Recruitment Company has secured a contract to supply 100 skilled workers including tilers, carpenters, painters, and other trades  for construction projects in Dubai. Discussions are also underway with other international companies to expand opportunities for Sierra Leonean workers.

Mrs. Abubakarr Bangura added that the initiative is about more than just job placement. “We want to help people turn their skills into livelihoods that can support their families and communities,” she said.

With high levels of youth unemployment in Sierra Leone, the launch of Abubakarr & Fatmata Taylor Bangs Recruitment Company is being hailed as a timely intervention that could open new pathways for economic empowerment.
