The West Africa Football Union (WAFU A) has appointed two Sierra Leoneans to officiate in the upcoming first edition of the WAFU A U-17 Girls’ Tournament, which will take place in Liberia from September 15 to 28, 2025.

Alhaji Dawdu Williams has been named as a Referees Assessor, while Humu Marah will serve as a Central Referee during the competition.

Their appointments not only highlight Sierra Leone’s continued representation in regional football but also underscore the confidence WAFU and CAF have in the country’s match officials.

The tournament, which will bring together U-17 girls’ teams from across the West African sub-region, is designed to provide a platform for young female talents to showcase their skills while also contributing to the growth of women’s football in the region.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has congratulated both officials on their well-deserved appointments and wished them success as they fly the country’s flag on the international stage.
