Magistrate Adama Judith Kandeh of Pademba Road Court No. 4 granted bail to Marwan Malador, the Manager of Malador Company Limited, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in connection with an alleged fraud case. The charges against him stem from an alleged scheme in which he is accused of defrauding a complainant.

Malador faces two charges: conspiracy to defraud, contrary to the law, and fraudulent conversion, in violation of Section 20(1)(iv)(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the indictment, on August 26, 2024, in Freetown, Malador conspired with unknown individuals to defraud Roseline Fatu Cowan of the sum of \$30,000 (equivalent to Le729,000), which was entrusted to him by Cowan for the purpose of facilitating her travel to the United States of America.

When the charges were read and explained to the accused, he did not enter a plea.

Magistrate Kandeh granted Malador bail in the sum of Le357,000 with two sureties, both of whom must be residents of Freetown and must produce valid identity cards that indicate their addresses in Freetown. The bail is to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.

The matter has been adjourned to September 30, 2025. The complainant was represented by Ibrahim S.Y. Kamara, Esq.
