Youth Remanded Awaiting Judgment in Cash Box Theft Case

Amidu Kargbo, alias Foundation, has been remanded as he awaits judgment after being charged with larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the charge sheet, on July 12, 2025, at Long Beach, Imatt, in Freetown, Kargbo allegedly stole a cash box valued at Seventy Leones (Le 70) containing the sum of Fifteen Thousand Leones (Le 15,000), totaling Le 15,070. The property was reportedly owned by Bakarr Wulleh.

The prosecution has closed its case, while the accused informed the court that he would rely on his police statement in his defense.

Magistrate Soa Mamakoh Betty Kallon has adjourned the matter to September 11, 2025, for judgment.
