On Monday, August 18, 2025, the newly appointed Regional Operations Officer for Freetown-East, Superintendent John S. Koroma, led a significant monitoring operation aimed at addressing lawlessness and indiscipline in key areas within the region.

The operation, coordinated by Superintendent Koroma and his team, focused on major junctions such as Up-Gun, Ferry Junction, Shell, and Texaco Junction. This initiative is part of the Sierra Leone Police’s ongoing efforts to restore law and order, enhance public safety, and curb acts of indiscipline throughout the city.

Superintendent Koroma reaffirmed the Police’s commitment to working closely with local communities to maintain order on the streets. He urged the public to adhere to law enforcement directives, emphasizing that cooperation is essential for the collective good of the community.
