In a significant step to uphold integrity within public institutions, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has formally indicted Abu Kamara, the former Finance Manager of the Customs Department at the National Revenue Authority (NRA), on nine counts of unexplained wealth.
The announcement was made on August 14, 2025, underlining the ACC’s commitment to addressing corruption at all levels of government.
The charges against Kamara stem from an in-depth investigation that uncovered irregularities surrounding his financial dealings. The ACC alleges that Kamara failed to provide satisfactory explanations for substantial assets acquired during his tenure, raising serious concerns about the legality of his financial conduct.
