Chernor Bah appeared before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon Jalloh on Monday, August 11, 2025, facing two charges: Malicious Damage and Larceny in a Dwelling House. The charges stem from allegations made by Bashiru Jalloh, a fellow Fullah man, accusing Bah of stealing $8,000 USD.

Bah was arrested on October 22, 2024, and is accused of maliciously damaging a steel door and a wooden wine lock belonging to Jalloh. The incident reportedly occurred on April 6, 2024, at 9 Chapel Street, Krio Town Road, Freetown. Prosecutors claim that Bah unlawfully entered Jalloh’s dwelling house with the intent to steal and subsequently took the $8,000 USD in cash.

During the proceedings on Monday, Bah’s defense attorneys were absent, though they had previously submitted a No Case Submission in writing. After reviewing the case file, Magistrate Jalloh ruled that there was a valid case for Bah to answer. However, the Magistrate decided that the matter would not proceed until the defense counsel was present in court to represent Bah.

Lead prosecutor CMB Amara, with support from DPC 18098 Sesay, agreed with the decision and requested a short adjournment.

The case has been adjourned to August 18, 2025, for further proceedings.
