William Galex is a dedicated and ambitious individual from Tombo, a community in the Western Rural District of Freetown, Sierra Leone. His academic journey began at REC Primary School in Tombo and continued at Tombo Secondary School (TSS), where he completed his junior secondary education. Driven by a passion for travel and service, William pursued tertiary education at the College of Travel and Tourism Studies, where he earned a Diploma in Travel and Tourism. After completing his studies, he contributed to national development through his work with the Sierra Leone Immigration Department.

Beyond his academic and professional achievements, William has an impressive background in sports. He excelled in weightlifting and powerlifting, eventually rising to the position of captain of Sierra Leone’s national weightlifting team. Notably, he made history as the first athlete to captain the Sierra Leone national Kabaddi team at the Kabaddi World Cup in Punjab, India.

On April 27, 2026, William reached a significant milestone by becoming Sierra Leone’s first official Strongest Man, solidifying his legacy as one of the most influential figures in the country’s iron sports community. In 2017, he was named the national runner-up and has remained one of Sierra Leone’s most consistent and successful strength athletes.

Later that same year, William relocated to Australia, where he joined the Australian National Powerlifting Team and trained with them for two years. Despite his athletic success, he decided to shift his focus toward education and personal growth, with aspirations of becoming a lawyer.

Now residing in Australia, William is working diligently toward his goal of becoming a legal professional. His remarkable journey from athlete to aspiring lawyer demonstrates his resilience, discipline, and unwavering commitment to excellence in all of his endeavors.
