Honorable Rebecca Yei Kamara has warned stakeholders in Kono District to refrain from practicing negative party politics.
She made the reproof during her trip to Constituency 029 in Kono District, Eastern Sierra Leone.
The Honorable Member of Parliament admonished parents to advice their children against negative party politics in Kono District and the country as a whole.
She maintained that, some political leaders are not 100% together due to infighting and unnecessary malicious thoughts or relationships within themselves which she described as baseless and unfortunate.
Honorable Kamara furthered that her statement cannot be unconnected with the recent alleged killing of a 19 year old Osman Fengai Alias “Wizzy” on the 20th February, 2021 which also gave scope to certain unknown people to burn down at least two (2) dwelling houses in the municipality of Koidu.
She noted that, speculations making rounds have alleged that the killing has brought about misunderstanding among some political leaders in the District.
With this backdrop, she also advised youths in Kono District to be supporting politicians that have developmental plans for the district and the
country as bad politics cannot give birth to any sustainable development.
