Mohamed Sillah Orange Money and Africell Money Agent made his first appearance before magistrate Sahr Keikura of pademba road court in Freetown, on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 17 (1) (a) of the larceny Act 1916.
It was alleged on the charge sheet that the accused Mohamed Sillah on the 14th April 2021 at Tech B13 internet café at No.13 Old railway line Brookfileds the western area in Freetown, fraudulently embezzles the whole or any part of a physical cash of Africell money of two million two hundred and seventy eight thousand five hundred and fifteen thousand Leones, forty-seven cents (2, 278, 515, 47).
Another physical cash of Orange money to the sum of nine million, two hundred and twenty-three thousand, four hundred and twenty-seven thousand Leones (9,223,427) and a separate cash two million three hundred and ninety-five thousand Leones (2,395,000) all to the total sum of thirteen million, eight hundred and ninety-six thousand, nine hundred and fourty-two Leones, forty-seven cents (13,896,942.47) property of Doris Beah.
Lawyer representing the accused person A. Thomas applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person, magistrate keikura adjourned the matter to the 23rd June 2021
