Twenty-seven-year-old bike rider Alie Alpha Sankoh and twenty-two-year-old Martha Mansaray made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at Pademba Road Court No. 8 in Freetown, facing three criminal charges: Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Robbery with Aggravation, and Accessory After the Fact.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Saturday, 18th January 2025, in Makeni Town, Bombali District, Northern Province, the accused persons allegedly conspired with others unknown to commit robbery with aggravation.

The second count alleges that on the same date and location, while armed with sticks and a cutlass, the accused persons robbed Mohamed Koroma of Le913,735, property belonging to Osman Jalloh.

The third count states that the accused persons also assisted Alie Alpha Sankoh after the alleged robbery was committed.

When the charges were read and explained to the accused persons, no plea was taken.

Prosecutor Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph Lamin Dumbuya informed the court that he had made several procedural adjustments at the request of the defence.

Magistrate Samura, however, warned the accused that if their lawyer, H.M. Gevao Esq., fails to appear on the next adjourned date to submit a ‘No Case Submission’, the court will proceed to commit the matter to the High Court for trial.

The matter was adjourned to 7th July 2025, and bail was extended for both accused persons.
