Sierra Leonean female FIFA badged referee, Precious A. E. Amara has been given a special medal of excellence for her outstanding performance in the just concluded West Africa Football Union Zone A- U15 Tournament in Guinea Bissau.
Precious A. E. Amara who received her first ever FIFA badge less than two months, was the only female personality among five other officials who received the prestigious medals from the WAFU Zone (A) organizing committee.
As an Assistant Referee one (AR1), Ref. Amara featured in the following three (3) matches during the tournament;
– Senegal vs. Cape Verde
– Guinea Bissau vs. Senegal
– Cape Verde vs. Guinea Bissau
Madam Amara was one of the two Sierra Leonean referees designated by WAFU to serve as match officials in the said tournament, the second being Central Referee Swahib Bangura who also carries a FIFA badge.
Swahib Bangura has been outstanding over the years in Officiating the game ; that has help him to gain international recognition that has led to officiating in big tournament. The Last time he officiated was in the last WAFU Zone Tournament that was hosted in Senegal.
