United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) has launched the distribution of Child and Adolescent Health and Lifeskills education materials to 25 schools in Zimmi, Makpele Chiefdom, Pujehun District..

This important initiative made possible with the generous support of Ireland in Sierra Leone aims to enhance both the academic learning and overall wellbeing of more than 8,000 schoolchildren. The distributed materials focus on critical topics such as personal hygiene, puberty, mental health, gender equality, healthy relationships, and decision-making skills.

By equipping pupils with this essential knowledge, the program supports children in making informed choices, building resilience, and developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive in school and beyond.

The collaboration between MBSSE, Ireland in Sierra Leone, and local education stakeholders underscores a shared commitment to ensuring that every childregardless of location has access to quality, inclusive, and holistic education.

This distribution marks another step toward creating safe, informed, and empowered learning environments for all children in Sierra Leone.
