Twenty-seven-year-old bike rider Alie Alpha Sankoh and twenty-two-year-old Martha Mansaray made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at the Pademba Road Court No. 8 in Freetown. The pair face three criminal charges: conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery with aggravation, and accessory after the fact, contrary to law.

The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Makeni Town, Bombali District, Northern Province. According to the particulars of the offence, the two accused—along with unknown accomplices—allegedly conspired to commit robbery with aggravation.

Count two alleges that on the same date and at the same location, the accused, armed with sticks and a cutlass, robbed Mohamed Koroma of 913,735 Leones. The stolen amount is said to be the property of Osman Jalloh.

Count three states that the accused, along with others, assisted Alie Alpha Sankoh after the commission of the robbery.

When the charges were read and explained in court, no plea was taken from the accused persons. Notably, the second accused, Martha Mansaray, had been absent from seven consecutive court sittings prior to this appearance.

Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph C. Dumbuya, the prosecuting officer, has so far led three witnesses in the matter.

Magistrate Samura has adjourned the case to June 18, 2025. Bail for the first accused, Alie Alpha Sankoh, has been extended.
