Two local cricket coaches have departed Sierra Leone to participate in a four-day ICC Level 2 Coaching Course in Abuja, Nigeria.

The two Sierra Leoneans, Abubakar Kamara (Caretaker Coach for Under-19 Men’s Team) and Mohamed Mansaray, will join others from West Africa for the course scheduled to start on June 12 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

At present, Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has three hundred and fifteen coaches. In April, it trained over 200 PHE Teachers drawn from the Western Area. Their certification will take the number of coaches to over five hundred.

This year alone, CSL says it is aiming at training and certifying five hundred coaches countrywide.
