The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) and Africa Global Logistics (AGL) have officially signed the final review of their concession agreement, following recent approval by the Cabinet.
The agreement was signed by SLPHA Director General Mr. Yankuba Askia Bio and Mr. Maroun Abi Aad, representing AGL, alongside Capt. Kolan of FTL. The revised concession focuses on the maintenance and rehabilitation of Berths 3, 4, 5, and 6 at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay in Freetown.
Additionally, the agreement includes an extension of AGL’s license to operate bulk and break-bulk cargo services at the port.
This development represents a significant milestone in the enhancement of Sierra Leone’s port infrastructure and aligns with the government’s broader vision to boost efficiency, improve cargo handling capacity, and support sustainable growth within the maritime sector.
