Youth Creativity Shines at Empowerment Art Exhibition

In a vibrant display of creativity, social consciousness, and youth empowerment, the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) Sierra Leone, in partnership with Kompin Artists, hosted a successful two-day art exhibition at the YMCA headquarters in Freetown. Held under the theme **“Empowerment”**, the event brought together emerging artists, art enthusiasts, and community leaders to celebrate artistic expression and the transformative power of youth.

The exhibition attracted a diverse audience, including Her Worship the Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, and other distinguished guests, all gathered to witness the impressive array of artwork created by young Sierra Leonean talents.

More than just an artistic showcase, the event also served as a call to action and a fundraising initiative in support of YMCA Sierra Leone’s ongoing youth empowerment programs. A portion of the proceeds from art sales will go directly toward initiatives focused on education, entrepreneurship, and leadership development for young people across the country.

In his opening remarks, Christian Martin Kamara, CEO of YMCA Sierra Leone, emphasized the organization’s mission to use creativity as a catalyst for youth development.
