24yrs old Emmanuel Konneh made his first appearance before magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the charge sheet it was alleged that on the 7th May 2021 at old railway line Tengbeh town in the Western Area in Freetown stole one itel mobile phone valued eight hundred and fifty thousand Leones (850,000) property of Kalilu Jabbie.

PW1 Kalilu Jabbie a student and the complainant said he recognized the accused person as his neighbor, and also recalled the 7th May 2021 when he was at home with the accused person. The complainant said on the same day he went out to buy some items, upon his return he called the accused attention that he was experiencing dizziness. So he fell asleep in the morning he could not fine his mobile phone neither the accused person.   

The witness said though he could not find him, he went to the police station and reported the matter; statements obtained.

However, bail was granted to the accused person in the sum of ten million Leones two sureties in like sum one must be gainfully employed sureties should produce valid identity card to be approved by the DAR.

DPC 18235 Thoronka K.K prosecuting the matter. Matter has been adjourned to the 3rd June 2021.
