The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima, and Acting General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, are currently in Cairo, Egypt, attending the 14th Confederation of African Football (CAF) Extraordinary General Assembly. The crucial elections for the CAF President, CAF Executive Committee, and CAF Representatives to the FIFA Council for the 2025-2029 term are currently underway.
As key figures in Sierra Leonean football, President Brima and Acting General Secretary Bawoh are actively engaging in the electoral process, ensuring that SLFA remains part of the decision-making structures shaping the future of African football.
Meanwhile, SLFA has extended its best wishes to former President Madam Isha Johansen, who is contesting to retain her position as a FIFA Council Member. Her re-election would further strengthen Africa’s voice at the highest level of global football governance.
With voting in progress, the 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly is set to define the leadership that will guide African football for the next four years. SLFA remains committed to contributing to the growth and development of the game both locally and internationally.
