The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) has announced a nationwide recruitment exercise for 2025, inviting qualified Sierra Leonean citizens to join the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

This initiative aims to bolster the military with new Officer Cadets, Specialists, Trades, and Non-Tradesmen and Women.

The recruitment drive is open to citizens aged 18 to 25, with specific educational and professional requirements.

Officer Cadet applicants must possess a university degree and meet physical, medical, and psychological fitness standards. Trades applicants should have a minimum of five years of specialised experience in their respective fields.

Interested individuals must submit handwritten applications along with supporting documents to designated brigade command centers by 4:00 PM on Monday, January 20, 2024.

Locations for submission include the 4 Infantry Brigade in Makeni, the 2 Infantry Brigade in Kenema, and several others across the country. Successful candidates will be responsible for their medical tests, which can be conducted at designated military laboratories.

The RSLAF has emphasised its commitment to integrity throughout the recruitment process.

The organisation cautions against document forgery and bribery, assuring the public that strict legal action will be taken against any violations.

The recruitment of qualified personnel is vital for the continued strength and readiness of the armed forces.

They encourage all eligible citizens to apply and contribute to the security and stability of the nation.

The recruitment drive is not just limited to combat roles; the RSLAF is also seeking specialists in fields such as medicine, engineering, information technology, and media, as well as tradespeople in vehicle mechanics and carpentry.

For further inquiries, prospective candidates can contact the RSLAF at designated phone numbers during office hours.

The recruitment process marks a significant step in enhancing Sierra Leone’s military capabilities, ensuring a robust defense force for the future.
