Ministry of Tourism Honours Posseh Hotel Proprietress

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has recognized Madam Isatu Thorlu Bangura, the proprietress of Posseh Hotel in Freetown, for her outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Sierra Leone’s tourism industry.

With over 40 years of experience in hospitality and management, Madam Bangura has played a pivotal role in elevating the standards of the tourism sector, making a lasting impact on its progress. Her dedication and expertise have been instrumental in promoting Sierra Leone as an attractive destination for both local and international visitors.

This acknowledgment came during the commissioning of the Ministry’s newly constructed pavilion on December 23, 2024, under the leadership of the Honorable Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Mrs. Nabeela Farida Tunis. The event celebrated key contributors to the nation’s tourism success while highlighting the Ministry’s strides in improving infrastructure to support the sector.

Madam Bangura’s recognition underscores the significant role of industry professionals in shaping the future of tourism in Sierra Leone. Her exemplary work with Posseh Hotel continues to set a benchmark for excellence in hospitality, reflecting the country’s rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality.
