In a move to bolster the country’s tourism and hospitality sector, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of Sierra Leone has announced an offer to commence some online scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to the public notice issued on December 6, 2024, the UN Tourism Online scholarship courses in Tourism and Hospitality Industry Management and Tourism and Hospitality Industry Law are now open for applications.
Interested candidates are invited to attend an interview scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The announcement which was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Edward Kwame Yankson, states that applicants should bring along original copies of all their certificates to the interview.
This initiative by the Sierra Leonean government aims to equip aspiring professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to the growth and development of the country’s tourism and hospitality industry.
By providing these online scholarship opportunities, the Ministry hopes to attract and train a new generation of industry leaders who can help Sierra Leone capitalize on its vast tourism potential.
