The Sierra Leone police have celebrated Inspector Ishemeal Keifala for his performance in the International Counter Terrorism Training in Egypt. The training, which started on August 24th and ended on October 17th, 2024, was designated as course number 362.
Inspector Ishmael Kiefala was awarded a prestigious award title, ‘’Ideal Officer,’’ by the Egyptians Agency of Partnership Development at the Police Research Centre. Inspector Kiefala’s outstanding performance demonstrated superior skills in both the academic and practical applications of counter-terrorism strategies.
In celebrating Inspector Kiefala’s achievement, SLP narrated that Keifala’s stellar performance throughout the course distinguished him among participants from 21 countries, earning him multiple accolades for his exceptional contributions and leadership. SLP continued that Keifala’s physical excellence earned him a remarkable fitness level and resilience during physical training exercises.
They added that Kiefala was good in marksmanship and attained top results in shooting drills, reflecting his commitment to law enforcement proficiency. SLP opined that his leadership made him serve as the chief of course for his batch, where he served as a mentor to fellow trainees.
SLP explained that other Sierra Leonean police officers, including Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP Martin Fayia and Inspector Frances Blake, successfully completed the rigorous training.
Keifala, in an interview, expressed his pride in receiving such recognition. ‘’I’m elated to be singled out among the participants from 21 countries, representing Sierra Leone in a commendable way,’’ he stated. He emphasized the crucial role of international terrorism and reflects his commitment to serving his community and country. His certificate of completion was personally presented by the President of the Police Academy, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey.
SLP concluded that the recognition not only inspires his colleagues in Sierra Leone but also underscores the importance of ongoing training and development in the global security space.
