The Sierra Leone Water Company, (SALWACO) under the Leadership of Ing. George Lamin Vandi as Managing Director and Apostle Dr. Albert Harrisson Harvey as Deputy Managing Director have graciously restored Water Supply in Port Loko and Magburaka.
It could be recalled that the two townships had gone for some days without water as a result of some technical issues. It was against that backdrop that the SALWACO leadership mobilized resources and to see that water is restored in those strategic locations.
Speaking after the restorations in both townships, SALWACO’s Director of Operations, Ing. Abdul Ben Lebbie said that in Port Loko, a brand new generator has been allocated to the station and that in Magburaka, a new intake pump has been fixed. Such, he said are miles to see that both townships continue to enjoy uninterrupted water supply.
In both townships, residents have applauded SALWACO for the purpose driven ventures and the fact that they (people) will once again continue to enjoy the SALWACO facility (sustainable water supply/provision).
In 2023, SALWACO held a National Retreat where it was captured that the company’s retreat theme was Revenue Generation for Sustainable Development. It is on that note that the company is poised to continue to support all stations to see that people get water and at affordable rates. Also, the company has deployed strategic marketing approaches whiles hoping that customers will pay for water rates on time if not in time and to see that the company is fully able to deliver on its mandate.
