Honourable Komba Quee and Honourable Sahr Koutu Momodu of Kono district have urged Sierra Leone Road Authority (SLRA) to reconstruct the bride leading to Kono district from the Freetown, Makeni and neighbouring Guinea highway which remains in miserable condition.
Honourable Komba Quee reflected from a video making rounds on various social media hangers showcasing the terrible condition of the bridge.
He called for a quick fix, as it would cause accidents if not dealt with seriousness.
“Kono is a breadbasket of revenue generation of the country especially boosting President Bio’s Feed Salone initiative. Therefore, the bridge plays a vital role in this regard,” he said.
Honourable Sahr Koutu Momodu implored on authorities to sort out such issues before it gets worse. He added that people continue to request for bridge to be properly handle as it remains one of their routes in access their farming activities. “As Members of Parliament, we are calling on the authorities make amends of the bridge,” he stated.
