The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima, bid a heartfelt farewell has on  August 13, 2024, to the players of East End Lions Football Club as they embark on their journey to Bo City, Southern Sierra Leone. The team is set to compete in the First Preliminary Round of the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup.

East End Lions FC will kick off their campaign on Sunday, August 18, at the Southern Arena Stadium, where they will face ASC Jaraaf FC from Senegal.

In his address to the players, President Brima expressed his pride and urged them to give their utmost effort to advance to the next round of the tournament.

“As players, you are not only representing your club but the entire nation. The Federation stands firmly behind you. Therefore, it is imperative that you work together to ensure success in this competition,” emphasized Brima.

In response, the players assured President Brima of their commitment to making a significant impact on the African stage. In a show of support, the Sierra Leone Football Association has provided two brand-new official team buses to East End Lions FC, which will be used throughout the competition.
