As a way of demonstrating her heartfelt gratitude and also fulfilling her campaign promises to her constituents in cluster 29 formerly constituency 029 for overwhelmingly voting her member of Parliament, the honourable member of Parliament of the aforementioned cluster Hon. Rebecca Yei Sam has concluded a two day thank you tour in some communities in Tankoro chiefdom kono District.
This is as a result for voting her for the second time in the June 24 2023 General elections.
During the thank you tour ,the honourable member of Parliament donated the sum of at least three thousand Leones to support the completion of the Ngandorhun Park riders office at the Resettlement Community donated football Jersey to the youth of Old Meima ,two bundles of six feet zinc to the main Bowl Ataya base at Kania,twenty plastic chairs to the Sukudu Community, ten bundles of six feet zinc to support the construction of the town barray at Yorgboma Village and six bundles of eight feet blue zinc to Koryadu Village to also construct their town barray.
Apart from the highlighted support in the above named communities the honourable Member of Parliament also carefully educated her constituents on the prohibition of the child marriage Act of 2024 inorder to prevent them from becoming victims to the new enacted law in the country.
Receiving the donated items, the chairmen bike riders Ngandorhun park and the main Bowl Ataya base in kania respectively, the town chiefs of Sukudu,Yorgboma and Koryadu all in Tankoro chiefdom kono District thanked and appreciated the honourable member of Parliament for what they described as a colossal support.
They noted that the attitude of honourable Rebecca Yei Sam reminded them of the one among the ten lepers in the Bible who returned to thank Jesus for healing, noting after the general elections in 2023,honourable Sam is the only elected official that has returned to support and thank them for voting her during the last general elections.
“These are the types of grateful and respectable politicians we want to see in kono District,” they stated.
They promised to judiciously use the donated items for their intended purposes. They called on other elected officials to emulate the laudable initiative of Hon. Rebecca Yei Sam.
