In a remarkable display of community support and international collaboration, Dr. Ted Hole, in partnership with Sign Post and The Door Christian Fellowship Church, has donated a substantial collection of hospital equipment and pharmaceuticals to the Government Hospital. This benevolent gesture aims to bolster the hospital’s capacity to provide essential medical care to the community.
The donated items include a range of vital medical instruments and medications, carefully selected to address various healthcare needs. Among the equipment are three ophthalmoscope/otoscope sets, which are crucial for diagnosing ear and eye conditions. Additionally, the hospital received four new rechargeable batteries and four power converters with plug adapters, ensuring uninterrupted use of these diagnostic tools.
The donation also includes an assortment of stainless-steel containers and surgical instruments, enhancing the hospital’s surgical capabilities. A diverse selection of sutures, totaling 12, will support a variety of surgical procedures.
A significant portion of the donation consists of essential medications. The hospital received:
– 5 boxes of gastro-resistant Diclofenac (500mg), providing a total of 50 tablets.
– 5 boxes of Omeprazole (200mg), amounting to 50 tablets.
– 40 vials of IV Ciprofloxacin (200mg).
– 30 boxes of injectable Ceftriaxone (200mg).
– 1 box of B-Complex injection, containing 50 ampoules.
– 10 boxes of Diclofenac capsules (50mg), providing 100 tablets.
– 2 boxes of Erythromycin tablets (250mg), providing 20 tablets.
– 30 boxes of Ibuprofen tablets (200mg), totaling 300 tablets.
– 5 boxes of Doxycycline tablets (100mg), totaling 50 tablets.
– 8 boxes of Amoxicillin capsules (500mg), totaling 80 capsules.
– 1,000 Metronidazole tablets (200mg).
– 30 boxes of Paracetamol tablets (500mg), providing 300 tablets.
– 10 boxes of Ampiclox capsules (500mg), providing 100 capsules.
– 30 boxes of Ciprofloxacin tablets (500mg), providing 300 tablets.
– 3 cartons of IV Normal Saline (500ml each).
– 2 cartons of IV Ringer’s Lactate (500ml each).
This generous contribution is poised to significantly improve the hospital’s ability to treat a variety of medical conditions and perform necessary surgical procedures.
