NaCSA Commissioner Pledges Collaboration for GPCYE Project Success

The statement from NaCSA Commissioner, Amb. Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina, during the Programme Coordination meeting on April 8, 2024, emphasized a collaborative approach in implementing the New Pro Poor-Growth for Peace Consolidation and Youth Employment (GPCYE) Project. He assured stakeholders of NaCSA’s commitment to working closely with them throughout the project’s planning and implementation stages.

Commissioner Ndomahina highlighted the significance of NaCSA’s activities within the framework of the President’s Development Agenda, particularly focusing on initiatives like ‘feed salone’ and rural youth empowerment for employment and job creation. He expressed gratitude to President for appointing him as Commissioner and acknowledged the continuous support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in funding the project.

First Secretary and Head of Cooperation at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Freetown, Johannes Behrens, reiterated Germany’s support for Sierra Leone’s development priorities, emphasizing alignment with national medium-term development programs.

Ing. Paul B. Demby, Director of Feeder Roads of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority, pledged his organization’s support for project implementation, citing the successes of previous phases as motivation.

Speakers at the meeting praised NaCSA’s partnership approach and the contributions of various stakeholders, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving project objectives.

Deputy Commissioner of NaCSA, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, closed the session by echoing gratitude to the German Government and project partners for their support and active participation in implementation.

The GPCYE Project, funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Development Bank (KfW), aims to build upon the successes of previous programs.
