Police Officer Sentenced in Tribunal Court for Involvement in KUSH Riding Incident

 In a significant development in Moriba Town, the Regional Coordinator of CDIID Southern Region, SUPT A.D. Banguara, alongside a team comprising ASP Osman Kamara and SGT Vandy Amara, presided over a tribunal court hearing against Police Officer PC21368 Aruna Fandewoh. The officer faced charges stemming from his involvement in a KUSH riding incident, where both youth and police were implicated.

 In a packed courtroom filled with community members eager to witness justice being served, ASP Osman Kamara, serving as the presiding officer, delivered the final verdict. Despite not being found in possession of any exhibits, Officer Aruna Fandewoh was subjected to penalties due to his presence at the scene with the involved youths.

 The judgment handed down included:

 A 45-day self-sponsored punishment at PTS (Police Training School).

 Transfer to another division.

 A stern warning that any recurrence of similar misconduct within a year would lead to dismissal from the force.

 Maintenance of records of the judgment in the defaulter’s personal file at Police Headquarters, Freetown.

 The community members expressed their satisfaction with the verdict, viewing it as a step toward maintaining law and order within the town. LUC CSP Daniel Puvandi also extended gratitude to the youth and his team for their collaborative efforts in combating drug-related activities in the region. He reassured the community of the police force’s unwavering commitment to providing essential services and upholding the law.

 The tribunal court’s decision to penalize Officer Aruna Fandewoh underscores the seriousness with which law enforcement agencies are tackling drug-related offenses. The collaborative efforts between the police force and the community signal a collective determination to maintain peace and security in Moriba Town and beyond.
