Police officers attached to the Bo West Division are currently investigating three brothers including their biological mother, Musu Lahai for allegedly stealing solar at the Ashia Mashid Mosque along Abie Street at New London Section in Bo.

The Police Media Boss in the South, Inspector Mohamed Bobson Senu told this medium that they received intelligence from concerned citizens leading to the eventual arrest of the four suspects: Kennie Morrie, Mark B.Lahai, Christopher B. Lahai and Musu Lahai, who are all residing at Matru Road in Bo.

Inspector Senu said that the suspects were arrested by a team of police officers from the Operation Wing of the Bo West Police division and were found in possession of 14 solar panels and two batteries.

He added that the first suspect, Kennie has made confessional statement that they stole the solar panels.

The four suspects and exhibits, he said are now in their custody helping them with their investigations.

He called on Sierra Leoneans to put into practice community policing by providing relevant information to the police about criminality in their environment that the Police can act on.

According to Inspector Senu, the police cannot provide security for everybody even though that is their mandate, but helping the police with information will enhance their work as their number is small when compared to the number of civilians to police.
