Four In Custody For Murder Of 35 Yrs-Old Woman In Kabala Town

In the wake of the reported brutal killing of Iyeba Sanda Barrie, a thirty-five-year-old woman from Kabala Town in Koinadugu District, an ongoing police investigation has led to the apprehension of at least four individuals, including the prime suspect, Alimamy Kamara. They are currently in custody at the Kabala Police Divisional Headquarters, cooperating with authorities in the ongoing inquiry.

According to reports, on January 27th, 2024, at approximately 10:27 am, the lifeless body of Iyeba Sanda Barrie was discovered in a stream at the Kamaseh community in Kabala. The victim exhibited severe injuries, with blood profusely emanating from her nose, mouth, and eyes, coupled with deep cuts on her forehead, indicative of a vicious assault with a blunt object. Authorities suspect that the perpetrators deliberately executed a cold-blooded murder, dumping the victim’s body in the stream to conceal their crime.

As the police delve deeper into the investigation, family members of the deceased are fervently seeking justice for the heinous act that claimed the life of their loved one. They express gratitude towards the local unit commander and crime officer of the Kabala Police Divisional Headquarters for their professionalism in handling the case.

“The soul of my sister will never rest until justice is delivered for Iyeba Sanda Barrie, who never harmed even a fly. No one deserves to die in such a horrific manner,” lamented the elder brother of the deceased.

As of the latest update, the remains of Iyeba Sanda Barrie are held at the Kabala Government Hospital, awaiting a postmortem examination to further aid the investigation. The community and family members remain hopeful that the legal process will unfold, bringing justice to the memory of Iyeba Sanda Barrie.
