The astute Member of Parliament, Hon. Alie Bayoh, representing the people of Kenema District, has been actively engaging his constituents during the recent holiday festive season. With a focus on promoting agricultural productivity, he has taken the opportunity to educate his people on the aspirations of President Bio’s government.
During his visits to Tunkia and Nomo chiefdoms, Hon. Alie Bayoh emphasized President Bio’s Feed Salone project, urging his constituents to prioritize agricultural production for enhanced food self-sufficiency in Sierra Leone. He reassured them of the president’s commitment to making the country a leader in food security and highlighted the significant progress made in achieving these objectives.
In addition to interacting with the general public, the young and illustrious MP held various meetings with party executives who also serve as development committee members. These meetings aimed to discuss and plan activities for the upcoming year, with Hon. Alie Bayoh expressing confidence in the successful accomplishment of their goals.
Acknowledging the importance of addressing the concerns and immediate needs of different stakeholders, the MP met with various community members to identify their challenges. He demonstrated a proactive approach to problem-solving, indicating his commitment to effective representation.
Focusing on youth engagement, Hon. Alie Bayoh shared words of peace and cohesion with the younger population. He emphasized the importance of vigilance in maintaining the country’s security and encouraged them to report any security concerns to the relevant authorities.
The Member of Parliament also visited a local clinic in his chiefdom to gain firsthand knowledge of their challenges. Subsequently, he advocated for addressing these challenges with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Team at the Kenema Government Hospital.
Taking a comprehensive approach to community outreach, Hon. Alie Bayoh took the opportunity to educate people about the end date of the old currency and the procedures for exchanging it. Additionally, he visited numerous burial homes, adhering to tradition, and provided tokens as a gesture of support. Overall, the MP’s actions reflect a commitment to both the agricultural development and the general well-being of his constituents.
