Civil society activist on a radio programme news review on Radio New Song FM 91.3 have urged the clergy and paramount chiefs in Kono District to be heard on issues that hinge on the development of the municipality of Koidu and Kono District as a whole.

The radio guests made mention of  the two set of people owing to their importance in any given society. They described as moral voices charged with the responsibility to influence or foster peace, unity and development wherever they find themselves.

The radio discussants registered their dismay that this moral comportment is hardly exhibited by the two categories of opinion leaders on pertinent issues.

The issue came under review when discussing the protracted political indifferences between Madam Diana Konomanyi and Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana which has the potential of degenerating to the detriment of the district and Konos in particular.

In the said radio discussion Konos have implored the moral voices to bring together the two personalities as they put it “when two brothers or sisters fight over their parents belongings, they will definitely end in the hands of strangers”.

The guests for News review program further entreat the clergy and paramount chiefs in Kono District to emulate their colleagues in the other districts as being the last of mediation in promoting peace. The neutrality of the process has bee stressed.

Former Vice President Sam Sumana and Madam Diana Konomayie former Minister of the same opposition All Peoples Congress have been having a frosty relationship.
