A tribunal to investigate allegations of incitement and breach of ethics by suspended Paramount Chief Alimamy Bockarie Alie Yellan Koroma of Dansogoia Chiefdom in Tonkolili district has commenced on Wednesday November 8th.

Presided over by Court of Appeal Judge Justice Alhaji Mohamed Momoh Jah Stevens, proceedings are held at the Law Officers’ Department on Lamina Sankoh Street in Freetown.

Representing the State, Lawyer E. Sarkoh told the inquiry that the process had already been gazetted and there was a representative from the Government Printing Office to prove that.

PC Koroma when asked about his legal representation said he has no intention to solicit the service of a Lawyer.

The Sole Commissioner of the tribunal, Justice Momoh-Jah Stevens informed the gathering that the Commission of Inquiry has been set up by the President of Sierra Leone to investigate allegations Incitement and Breach of Ethics and Self-Regulation and gross misconduct of Paramount Chief Alimamy Koroma.

The Commission he assured shall be conducted without fear and favour.

The State has indicated that they will introduce their case on Monday the 13th November, and the Paramount Chief shall respond whether he is guilty or not.

At the end of the Commission of Inquiry , a report shall be presented to the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, who will then accept or reject the the Recommendations in the Report.

The inquiry like Justice Biobele Georgewill’s and others is a mere investigation into the said misconducts.

Its outcome which will be documented in a report shall be presented to the President, who will then accept or reject the recommendations.
