NRA Boss and pioneer of the Ibrahim Brima Swarray Foundation has firmly committed to providing quiz and debate competition among school pupils in Kailahun in actualizing the promotion of President Bio’s Human Capacity Development chart with a whooping star prize of ten million Leones (Le 10,000) on Saturday 28th October,2023 at the Kailahun District Council Hall.
When making his remark, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray, Commissioner General of National Revenue Authority and vanguard of the Ibrahim Brima Foundation said his foundation made no mistake to involve Kailahun in its visions and mandates in promoting President Bio’s commitment because of the tremendous contribution Kailahun demonstrated especially during the electioneering process. “It is by no means this foundation would continue to be in Kailahun,” NRA Boss affirmed.
He mentioned that the winners of the competition in Kailahun would be going to represent their schools in Freetown for the National Competition sometimes next year.
Mr. Swarray encouraged the pupils in Kailahun to take their academic works with an ultimate seriousness. He said the Foundation would continue to help Sierra Leoneans; adding that education is the key that unlocks a lot of opportunities that which he is a testament to the good fortune of education.
Honorable Sarty Banya of Kailahun District expressed his thanks and appreciation to the NRA Boss and his foundation for playing vital roles in promoting President Bio’s Human Capacity Development stream. “This is a big boost to our educational landscape particularly in Kailahun,” Honorable Banya added.
He hoped to cascade the positive feedbacks to his colleagues; emphasizing that he is ready to give his own beat of contribution in making sure that the foundation continue to be on the radar
The competition was climaxed with certifications and awards to the winners. Tahir Ahmadiyya Senior Secondary School won the Best Debate Team under the hands of Fomba Bockarie, Kadiatu Tejan and Francis Konneh. The Best Debater Award went to Fomba Bockarie. Kadiatu Tejan took the Second Best Debater Award and Jestina Sia Massajo bagged the Third Best Debater Award.
The Best Quizzer Award went to Allicious Kellie of Kids in Kailahun Junior Secondary School. Francess Sesay of Koy of Sisterhood Junior Secondary School took the Second Best Quizzer Award. Third Best Quizzer Award went to Abu Koroma of Tahir Ahmadiyya Junior Secondary School.
