39 years old Yankuba Swarray a security Guard made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law and Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 16th September 2023 at the Jungle Beach Bar along Lumley Beach Road Aberdeen the western area in Freetown conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit Larceny; and on count two on the above date and place stole one JSK big power Generator Machine, one HP Laptop computer, one stove four burner cooker, one 45 inches Panasonic plasma television, and other assorted items equivalent to ninety thousand nine hundred Leones(90,900) Property of the management of the Jungle Beach bar whilst in custody of Sandra Sesay.
When the charges was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecution witness was absent and she seeks for a short adjournment date.
Whilst the accused person was legally unrepresented, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to the 25th October 2023 for further hearing Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay prosecuting the matter.
