Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Ross Road Court No .1 has granted ten thousand Leones (NLe10, 000) bail to Francis Daramy and Solomon Momoh with sureties each in like sum.
According to Magistrate Kekura the sureties should reside in Freetown and must produce valid ID cards.
Bail should be approved by the Deputy Master and Registrar.
The accused persons were arraigned before the court for the offences of conspiracy to commit a felony and larceny contrary to law.
Police records showed that the accused, on Tuesday 14th September 2023, at No. 20 Magazine, Grass fields Kissy in Freetown, conspired with unknown persons to commit a felony.
It was also alleged that the accused, on the same date and place in Freetown, stole ninety-eight (98) cartons files, thirteen (13) lengths iron rods, and cash of two hundred and eighty Leones (NLe280) totaling eleven thousand, one hundred and twenty Leones (NLe11,120) belonging to Daniel Kosia.
Since inception of the matter the complainant Danielv Kosia, haven’t avail himself in court to testify.
The matter was adjourned to 27th October 2023 for further hearing.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Osman M. Bangura is prosecuting the matter.
