Kellie Farm, Malambay village, Waterloo Headman has testified on the alleged murder of Mohamed Jagitay on the 10th October 2023 before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown.
The accused Mohamed Jagitay made his third appearance before magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No1 and was charge with one count of murder contrary to law.
According to the police, the accused on the Friday 28th July 2023, at Kellie Farm, Malambay village, Waterloo in the western rural murdered Ibrahim Jagitay.
Inspector Sellu Tap led Prosecution witness number three
Ibrahim Kargbo Headman of Kellie Farm, Malambay village, Waterloo said he didn’t recognize the accused person in the dock and the deceased.
He recalled on Friday 28th July 2023 on the above date he was inside Mosque when one of his subject that was inside the Mosque with him gave him information about his site.
Upon his arrival he met someone lying down on the site dead.
Upon that he went to Waterloo police station and made report immediately.
After the report himself together with some police officers went to the scene of crime.
Snapshot was taken by the police officer who photographed the deceased and was produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records.
The witness said they also find a broken knife and Airpod from the crime scene.
He later made statement at the said police station.
Cross examination by defense counsel
M. Rashid Esq you got information from your subject that the deceased was lying down at the site the witness said yes, that is what you know about this matter the witness said yes he concluded.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Ngegba sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown. The matter is adjourned to the 17th October 2023 for further hearing.
