Former flagbearer of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, has announced that he is holding his first major press conference on Tuesday 3 October 2023, since the elections on June 24th 2023, possibly making some radical departure from his party’s traditional position.
One of his supporters suggested that he might publicly dissociate himself and his brand of politics from the notorious Adebayor, a ready-to-hire antisocial party acolyte based in Europe, who uses motherly invectives and foul language as a weapon of political intimidation and violence.
Real name Abdul Will Kamara, the social and political misfit, who takes pleasure in making audios and doing Facebook lives to incite his party supporters, has been blamed for the 10th August 2022 violent insurgency that claimed the lives of innocent policemen and residents in Freetown.
In his most recent video post on Facebook and widely shared on WhatsApp, Adebayor reined invectives and use unprintable language insulting the parents of Dr Samura Kamara for not picking up his calls lately.
Loosely translated from Krio to English, Adebayor said in the video that “you [Samura Kamara] should be picking our calls. Did you know what Samura Kamara told the party [APC], which had to be swept under the carpet? He said if the party did not believe in him again, he would step aside”.
Meanwhile, Hashim Williams on Facebook, apparently reacting to the video, said Dr. Samura Kamara was a decent man, adding that the disrespectful behavior of some APC members was hurtful and upsetting.
“How can you feel if someone cursed your mother in such a way on Social Media? You may be left wondering how to respond. Some of you in the APC need to take your time. How on earth no one in the APC has come out to condemn Adebayor and stop his behavior?
