Accused On Remand For Stealing Property Of S/Leone Judiciary

Twenty-three years old Lamin Sesay a Student made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 17th September 2023, at Magistrate Court Pademba road the western area in Freetown Stole therein one generator battery 100 AMP, one radiator cover, one terminal cables and one copper pipe all to the total value of four thousand three hundred Leones(4,300) property of Judiciary of Sierra Leone.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor seeks for a short adjournment date for her to get proper conference with her witness.

Meanwhile Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown.

The matter is adjourned to the 28th September 2023.

The Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay is prosecuting the matter.
