The town chief of Massabendu in the Bafinfeh section, Nimiyama chiefdom, Kono District, Chief Aiah Kobba has expressed dissatisfaction over the under-development of his town.

Chief Aiah Kobba made the disclosure in an interview with A-Z Newspaper that for over three (3) decades now, his town is yet to benefit from modernized toilet, pure and safe drinking water facilities, good road network, school and community Barray projects from the neither central government nor organizations. He noted that the free health care drugs normally sent to the Massabendu Health Centre have not been enough for the targeted beneficiaries within the catchment areas.

Massabendu is a growing community with a large population and majority wholly depending on mining for their livelihood and other supports.

Chief Aiah Kobba further appealed to the central government through the Kono district Council and partners to come to their aid in providing the basic amenities which the town currently lacks and residents are in dire need.
