55yrs-old woman Sinnah Conteh of Dwazack farm in Freetown who stood as surety for one Ibriham Mansaray at Adelaide Street police station has been committed to the High Court for trial by Magistrate Mark Ngagba on Pademba Road court No.1 in Freetown.
The surety Sinnah Conteh was before the court on one count of perverting justice contrary to law.
According to particular of offence it was alleged that Sinnah Conteh on the 29th September 2021 at Adelaide police station in Freetown being a surety for suspect Ibrahim Mansaray who was arrested for the offence of fraudulently conversion signed on behalf of the letter to produce him to the police at any time call upon, but failed to execute such a bond.
The matter was reported by the complaint Cyril Harold Smith against the accused Ibriham Mansaray.
Sinnah Conteh was arrested by the complainant Cyril Harold Smith who was assisted by one general duty officer arrested and brought in suspect Sinnah Conteh for perverting the course of Justice.
The complainant made a report against the accused of fraudulent conversion involving one Tricycle with registration number ATJ 650 valued thirty million old Leone which the suspect Ibriham mansaray for which the surety was warned to produce him on daily basis, but failed.
Magistrate Ngagba said looking at the evidence before him; he is convinced that the accused has a case to answer, therefore, he committed the matter to the high court for trail and that the surety has a case to answer. Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai prosecuted the matter.
