FC Kallon Football Club has progressed to the next rounds of the Confederation Cup without kicking the ball.
Their Progression to the next rounds comes after AS Douanes of Niger withdrew from the competition due to the Political unrest in Niger.
The Sierra Leone Football Association in a Press Release confirmed that they have received correspondence from CAF on the above subject dated 23 August 2023 informing the SLFA of the official communication on AS Douances FC of Niger’s decision to pull out of the aforementioned competition.
CAF noted in its email that your club (KALLON FC) has automatically qualified to the second Rounds stage of the 2023-24 CAF CC competition.
FC Kallon will now play the winner between MILO FC from Guinea and DREAM DC from Ghana, in the second Preliminary round of the Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup.
The existing news when it reached the Camp of FC Kallon there was excitement as the team was now bracing up for the next rounds of qualifiers. The said match is said to be played this weekend at the Southern Arena Stadium BO City and the return leg is on the 1st of September 2023.
The last two editions of Confederation Cup FC Kallon have failed to make it to the group stages, and General Manager Tunde Scott said this Year’s campaign is to make it to the group stages.
