In the bid to complementing the free quality education agenda of President Bio by making education accessible to all Sierra Leoneans the CHILDREN DEVELOP AFRICA a non-governmental organization with support from individual well-wishers has given educational support to vulnerable children in Freetown, Bo, Makeni and Kerene district respectively.
Speaking to our correspondent the program manager for Develop Africa Abu S Conteh explained that the organization is a non-governmental organization that primarily focuses on human capital development and educational transformation in the country, adding the organization over the years has not only supported vulnerable children but schools with the needed learning materials for the benefit of its beneficiaries.
“Our goal is to ensure that we raise good and productive children that will positively contribute to national development, as we expect our beneficiaries to be more determined and serious with their education as this is the best investment”, he stated.
The program manager further intimated that the organization is not only providing learning materials to its beneficiaries in schools, but they are also referring their beneficiaries in the country’s capital Freetown through their computer literacy programs to ensure that they are fit into the 21st century digitalized trend.
When asked to know what has been put in place for the vulnerable children in the hard to reach communities in their operational areas, Conteh promised to extend their support to vulnerable children in hard to reach communities that fall in their operational areas when funds are available. He therefore pleaded with parents to monitor and encourage their children to be more determined and serious with their education.
